
Position Description
Gathering and analyzing information to make recommendations based on customer data that improves the organization's existing web and mobile applications, operating efficiencies and costs.
• Creates information data flow diagrams or storyboards for new product features and functions.
• Transforms functional requirements into system specifications by writing clear and concise business requirements documents.
• Writes use cases and defines test plans and acceptance criteria.
• Educates internal and external customers by providing written documentation of all new development work and enhancements to features and functionality of Neighborhood America’s systems.
• Works with the Quality Assurance team to test the product and provide the Development team with feedback.
• Acts as the team subject matter expert and coordinates with internal staff or customer when more outside information is needed.
• Research markets and competitors in order to determine the relative priority of new concepts.
• Contribute to the project pipeline by conceiving of new business initiatives.
The Product Manager will assist the development team by acting as the interface between Sales, Project Management and the customers to analyze, document and design business applications and systems. This position will design and develop high-level functional requirements for all new development work and enhancements of Neighborhood America’s products and services. Key responsibilities of this position include:
Requirements
• Minimum of 2-4 years experience as a Business Systems Analyst, or Technical Writer with a strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle and Object Oriented Development.
• A passion for and understanding of the ever-evolving mobile, social networking and social media market. Creative thinking to research and plan future cutting edge technology.
• Ability to think solutions through for current development and future development.
• The ability to participate in brainstorming, architecture, and implementation meetings with extremely technical employees and comprehend the underlying business requirements and technical architecture for a project.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to multiple projects simultaneously. You may be working on several projects, each of which is the company's #1 priority. If the previous sentence makes you cringe, this probably isn't an environment you'll enjoy.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of UML and Six Sigma is not required but would be a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Communications or related discipline or equivalent experience.
